MY TRUCK,
MY HOME
- CLIENT: Burger King
- AGENCY: DAVID Madrid
- YEAR: 2024
When the world stopped, truck drivers kept moving. At the height of the pandemic, while the rest of us stayed home, truck drivers continued to crisscross the country, ensuring that essential supplies reached those who needed them most. But when one truck driver was turned away from a Burger King drive-thru, the story sparked outrage, highlighting an unintended consequence of new safety measures.
Our team acted fast. In just 24 hours, the Burger King Delivery app was updated to include a feature that allowed truck drivers to enter their license plates and get their meals delivered right to their trucks. The campaign that followed wasn’t just about food—it was about honoring those who kept the world going when everything else came to a halt.
Given the tight timeline and limited resources during lockdown, we chose a fully in-house approach for the campaign. Every asset, from films to illustrations (done by your truly) was created by our team, allowing us to move quickly and stay true to our vision in record time.
Although the campaign initially launched as an activation in Spain, its positive reception quickly caught attention beyond borders. The concept resonated so well that Burger King USA decided to implement it as well, extending the initiative’s impact and celebrating truck drivers across multiple countries.

“Just weeks into the first lockdown, when the world was collectively wondering how to unmute on Zoom, my partner and I managed to pull off our first campaign at DAVID. We were navigating total chaos and uncertainty, but somehow, we got it done in record time. Looking back, it’s a blur of confusion, stress… and a surprising amount of pride”.
